Hole #3 is 136 yards, and received a facelift on the tee box in 2009. The
existing tee box was resurfaced and elevated and a new addition expanded
it to three times its original size. A forward tee was also built, so now
those who choose to use it don't have the frustration of hitting over the
natural area.
The fairway has two sod bunkers placed just off centre of the
fairway, one to the right and one to the left. Adjacent to the green is a
round bunker that has been known to create havoc when the pin is placed
nearby.
The green is sloped from northeast to southwest and this has made
it interesting for the superintendent to choose pin placements. The best
shot is usually to go for the pin or aim for the front of the green and
chip on from there. It all depends on the pin placement.
